What Texas requires
Texas requires 30/60/25 liability coverage. The state’s TexasSure program electronically verifies that registered vehicles carry insurance, so a lapse can be flagged quickly.
Personal injury protection
Insurers must offer PIP, which covers medical bills and lost wages regardless of fault. You can decline it, but only in writing — many drivers keep it for the no-fault medical coverage.
