What New York requires

New York requires 25/50/10 liability, $50,000 in no-fault PIP, and uninsured motorist coverage. It is one of the more demanding minimum packages in the country.

No SR-22 here

Unlike most states, New York does not use SR-22 filings. Coverage is verified directly through the DMV, and lapses can trigger registration suspension and fees.
