What Florida requires

Florida requires $10,000 in PIP and $10,000 in property damage liability. Uniquely, it does not require bodily injury liability for most drivers — which is exactly why carrying it anyway is strongly advised.

The FR-44 difference

After a DUI, Florida may require an FR-44 rather than an SR-22. The FR-44 demands substantially higher liability limits, so reinstatement can be more expensive than in other states.
